This robe was developed in exclusive collaboration for Harvard PhD graduates – as a tribute to academic dignity, refined European tailoring, and timeless tradition.

Each piece is individually handcrafted in our Bavarian workshop, combining precise German construction with the world-renowned fabrics of Holland & Sherry’s Royal Mile collection. The silhouette follows the classic Harvard doctoral cut – elevated through luxurious materials, traditional details, and personalized finishing.

Outer fabric (Robe):
100% Super 140’s Merino wool by Holland & Sherry – Royal Mile 318545 – in Harvard Crimson. Lightweight (187 g/m²), soft to the touch, and exceptionally elegant in drape.

Velvet accents:
Sleeve panels and lapels trimmed with premium black cotton velvet by Holland & Sherry (1819004, 253 g/m²).
This is the same velvet used for Daniel Craig’s pink dinner jacket at the James Bond premiere of “No Time To Die” – a subtle nod to cinematic elegance.

Lining:
Fully lined with 100% pure black silk for exceptional comfort and a refined interior sheen.

Embroidery:
Two traditional blue Harvard crow’s feet embroidered on the chest, plus a personalized name label sewn into the neckline.

We carefully pack each robe to ensure it arrives safely. Upon receipt, we kindly ask you to inspect your package and open it carefully, as each garment is custom-made for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every robe is cut and made to your own measurements and specifications. A made-to-measure piece is uniquely yours and cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind — such custom-made goods are exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal (§ 312g (2) no. 1 German Civil Code; Art. 16(c) EU Directive 2011/83/EU). Your protection against faults is absolute: if an item arrives defective or is not made as ordered, we will repair, remake or refund it.
