LINING CARD FABRICS

A lining is seldom seen — and always felt. That is why we give it the same care as the outer cloth: 15 hand-picked designs, made from three qualities, all rooted in nature.

Silk (solid designs No. 1–6) — The noblest natural fibre of animal origin, drawn from the cocoons of the mulberry silkworm. Our solid linings in 100% pure silk, 60 g/m², are mill-washed: this gives the weave a particularly cool, soft handle and a quietly matt depth. Silk insulates against heat and cold, absorbs moisture and rests featherlight on the skin — cool in summer, warm in winter.

Viscose (paisley designs No. 7–11) — A cellulosic fibre obtained from natural plant-based raw materials. Viscose, at 110 g/m², gives our paisley linings their soft handle, their supple drape and the exceptional luminosity of their colours — a cool, flowing lining with the air of silk, on a plant basis.

Acetate with viscose (Mondo designs No. 12–15) — Acetate, the classic “art silk”, likewise derives from a cellulose compound — rooted in nature as well. Combined with viscose in our jacquard-woven Mondo designs at 110 g/m², it is light, quick-drying, crease-resistant and anti-static, with a silken shimmer — the most resilient choice for robes in daily service.
