Cloth from Holland & Sherry, London, supplier to leading tailors since 1836. Based on Savile Row, the house cuts and dispatches its cloth from Peebles, Scotland.

Quiet on the outside. Yours within. Your coat is fully lined. We recommend a lining for each cloth; the choice is yours: eight house favourites and seven further designs from our Lining Design Card — Solid in pure silk, Paisley in viscose, Mondo in acetate and viscose — or a lining of your own. We line the body and sleeves in your chosen lining. We arrange up to three interior pockets around what you carry: left and right breast pockets, a phone pocket sized to your phone, and a fountain pen and glasses compartment. Your initials or name are embroidered on a label in the lining, included in the price. The Manufaktur Bavaria label sits at the back of the neck. We discuss individual motifs, a coat of arms or a special lining personally, and quote the price before you decide.

We take fresh measurements for your coat — at the atelier in Landshut, at home with our measurement form and video guidance, or from a well-fitting coat you send us. A ready-to-wear size provides a reference, but does not replace measurements. Before we cut the cloth, you try on your coat as a cotton toile.
