The exclusive fabric TIMELESS | bespoken Silver Wool is yarn-dyed at 150 g/m² (225 g/m) and woven expressly to our specifications for robes and gowns. Its exceptionally fine, light weave yields a soft, flowing handle; an exclusive finish lends the cloth its discreet, dry lustre — elegance that does not need to shine in order to be felt.

The exclusive fabric Manufaktur Bavaria | Royal Regalia unites finest merino wool with noble cashmere at 155 g/m² (230 g/m), made to our most exacting requirements. Its light, exceptionally fine weave gives the cloth a handle that cannot be described, only experienced. Royal Regalia is also the mattest quality in our collection: a quiet, discreet shimmer remains — yet those who seek consummate restraint choose this cloth. It remains hard-wearing and outstandingly crease-resistant all the while: made for robes that work every day.
The cashmere is drawn from the fine underdown of the cashmere goat, which survives the extreme winters of the Asian high plateaux only by virtue of this down — the hardness of its homeland is the softness of this cloth. It complements the temperature-regulating, breathable merino wool with additional softness, lightness and excellent climate comfort.

The extraordinary fabric TIMELESS | bespoken Gold Silk unites superfine merino wool with nobly spun silk at 160 g/m² (240 g/m) — yarn-dyed and woven expressly for our robes. Its high silk content grants it the noblest lustre within our collection: discreet, yet unmistakably richer than any pure wool cloth. The fine weave gives an incomparably soft feel and a drape that presents the silhouette with quiet style.
Silk is arguably the most precious natural textile in the world. Legend has it that some 5,000 years ago in China, Emperor Fu Xi had the first garments made from this thread — drawn from the cocoons of the mulberry silkworm, to this day the finest source of true silk. By ancient custom, silk was worth more than gold; only the opening of the Silk Road, that legendary network of trade routes between China and Europe, brought it to the West. Since 1836, Holland & Sherry has supplied the world's finest bespoke tailors from Savile Row; every cloth is cut and dispatched from Peebles in Scotland. The “Royal Mile 1976” collection takes its name from Scotland's most famous street, which links Edinburgh Castle with the Palace of Holyroodhouse — British elegance, taken literally.
Woven from luxurious Super 140’s merino wool, exceptionally fine and soft, at a versatile weight of 187 g/m² (280 g/m): a cloth for the whole year, for the courtroom in January as for the graduation ceremony in July. Scabal, founded in Brussels in 1938 and family-owned to this day, weaves its cloths at its own mill in Huddersfield — a region devoted to fine cloth for almost five hundred years. There, the exclusive fabric SCABAL | Capri Cool Wool is woven at 173 g/m² (260 g/m) from finest Super 130’s merino wool in a superior plain weave.
Its character: light, resilient, with a discreet, matt finish — the choice for those who favour understated elegance. The open plain weave lets the cloth breathe; through long days in court and in warm rooms it stays agreeably cool and holds its shape. A cloth that works so that you may forget it.
