Before you start

Read once, then measure one by one.
  1. Measure in pairs. A second person holds the tape — so it stays level.
  2. Measure over a shirt or blouse, not over your jacket. We read the ease for suit and jacket from your own jacket.
  3. For the jacket measurements: lay your best-fitting jacket, buttoned, flat on a table.
  4. Six photos complete the form — front, side and back, each in a shirt and in your jacket. You send them by email after submitting.

Figure from the front against the wall, vertical line from floor to crown

Without shoes, back and heels against the wall, looking straight ahead. Lay a book flat on top of your head, mark the height and measure from the floor.

For example 104 or 104.5.

Nape to back of knee

Start at the lowest neck vertebra — the bone that stands out most when you bow your head. Let the tape hang straight down the back and read it at the hollow behind the knee. From this fixed point we set your coat length.

Chest circumference

Upper body from the front, horizontal line around the chest

Over a shirt or blouse, horizontally around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades at the back. Arms relaxed, breathe normally.

Stomach circumference – fullest point

Horizontally around the fullest part of the stomach, usually at navel level or just below. Do not pull the stomach in; breathe out normally. The tape lies flat without cutting in.

Hip and seat circumference

Horizontally around the fullest part of hips and seat, feet together. Your coat falls over this point.

Upper arm circumference (optional)

Around the fullest part of the upper arm, arm relaxed. Helps us set the sleeve width.

Shirt collar size

Head and neck, line around the base of the neck

The size is printed in the collar of your shirt, for example 16 in or 41 cm. No label? Measure around the base of the neck, tape snug — we add the allowance.

Jacket · shoulder width

Lay the jacket buttoned and flat on a table, back facing up. Measure from shoulder seam to shoulder seam — where the sleeves are set in.

Jacket · back length

At the centre back, from the collar seam straight down to the hem.

Jacket · sleeve length

From the shoulder seam along the outside of the sleeve to the sleeve hem.

Front facing up, jacket buttoned. Straight across from armpit to armpit, just below the armholes — the width as the jacket lies.

What happens next

  • Your measurements go to our atelier in Landshut.
  • Yeşim Küçükay reviews every measurement and photo and arranges your twenty-minute video call with you.
  • Should something unexpectedly not sit perfectly once your coat arrives, the atelier puts it right: one alteration within 14 days of receipt, at our cost, shipping to and from Landshut included.

What happens next. Yeşim Küçükay goes through your measurements and photos with you in a twenty-minute video call. You then try on your coat as a toile over your jacket. Only then do we cut the cloth. No cashmere is cut until the toile fits.
